Industry 4.0 is evolving into Industry 5.0, where technology, human-centered approaches, and sustainability play an increasingly central role. This workshop brings together pioneering European projects in manufacturing and industry to showcase how this paradigm shift is being addressed through concrete innovations and real-world applications.

At the center of the session is MULTIMOLD, which introduces its first-generation demonstrator for sustainable-by-design injection molding. This innovation significantly increases yield and improves debonding, setting a new benchmark for greener and more efficient manufacturing processes. By tackling one of the most resource-intensive areas of production, MULTIMOLD exemplifies how Industry 5.0 can combine advanced technology with sustainability goals to create real impact.

The workshop will also feature complementary insights from RaRe2 (rapidly reconfigurable factories), RESTORE (zero-waste remanufacturing), and the zero-defect digital platforms openZDM and Platform-ZERO. Together with MULTIMOLD, these initiatives form a powerful portfolio of European innovation, demonstrating how resilience, circularity, and human-centered approaches are shaping the future of industry.
