As part of its contribution to the MULTIMOLD project, Syxis, VšĮ has developed the rEUse platform, a cloud-based, multi-sided web application designed to support data-driven circular practices across various industrial sectors. This digital tool is user-friendly, flexible, and scalable, allowing stakeholders to manage, share, and trace the life cycle of circular entities—such as materials, components, products, or even waste streams.

rEUse, which stands for "reusing Entities for a Sustainable Future", offers a range of features that make it a powerful enabler of circular economy strategies. It provides cloud-based access to relevant data on products, components, and materials, and supports multi-user networking to connect actors across the value chain. This makes it a valuable matchmaking platform for opportunities in reuse, repurposing, recycling, and remanufacturing. The platform is compatible across sectors, enabling collaboration between companies from different industries. It also supports data-driven entity management, with the potential to integrate with MES and digital production systems. Importantly, rEUse features a simple, no-code interface, meaning no programming skills are required to use or manage the platform.

Circular Entities in Action

Within rEUse, a Circular Entity can take various forms: it may be a recycled or virgin material, a component or product suitable for repurposing, or even a waste stream or disused object ready to be reintegrated into a circular value chain. The platform provides a structured pathway through the circular ecosystem, making it easier for companies to track, share, and optimize the reuse potential of these entities—while ensuring alignment with sustainability goals and regulatory frameworks.

Why It Matters

By integrating rEUse into MULTIMOLD’s architecture, Syxis, VšĮ ensures that the project goes beyond the development of innovative prototypes—it establishes a digital backbone for traceable, circular production. The result is a model in which technological innovation and sustainability go hand in hand—precisely what Europe needs to maintain its leadership in high-value, low-impact manufacturing.

Through its role in MULTIMOLD, Syxis, VšĮ demonstrates how innovation in data management, circular design, and digital infrastructure can open new frontiers in sustainable manufacturing. With tools like rEUse and its leadership in data interoperability, Syxis, VšĮ is actively contributing to reshaping European industry toward a more connected, efficient, and circular future.

Why rEUse for MULTIMOLD?

rEUse was selected for the MULTIMOLD project because of its proven reliability and adaptability in prior European projects. Unlike other platforms, rEUse offers a unique combination of flexibility, accessibility, and ease of use, making it ideal even for non-technical users.

As a cloud-based solution, it can be accessed from anywhere, while also allowing for local deployment when greater privacy is required. The platform supports advanced authentication protocols—such as Keycloak—and provides REST APIs, enabling seamless integration with other project components like the Digital Product Passport (DPP). It also replaces outdated, manual tools—such as Excel spreadsheets—that were previously used for tracking and data exchange. Furthermore, rEUse supports the attachment of technical documentation, such as CAD drawings and design files, which is essential for the comprehensive tracking of components in MULTIMOLD. This combination of advanced capabilities and usability made rEUse a natural and effective choice to support the project’s goals.
